Picture of Bane from the new Dark Knight Rises film. While not the grotesquely pumped up Bane that we are familiar with, this Bane’s engorged muscles and muzzled face still resembles iconic elements of the character. I like that Nolan takes more of a realistic approach when it comes to his writing, directing and interesting character chooses in the Batman films. As batman movies of the past have shown, it is very easy to go completely crazy and turn the fantastic and deep sourse materiel into ridiculous camp for kids.
